End of Year SMARTR Outcome – All Subjects |
By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, all grade levels will complete a minimum of two PBLs during the school year. |
Strategy 1 All teachers will participate in PBL training and professional development through FCPS and schoolwide. |
Strategy 2 Each team will incorporate a PBL project that ties to a Vienna community issue. |
End of Year SMARTR Outcome - Math |
By the end of the 2018-19 school year, all students who did not meet the fall benchmark level will show growth on the end of the year assessment (grade level assessment, MRA or SOL). |
Strategy 1 The school will use a structured identification process for all students at risk of failing or in need of targeted intervention to ensure timely intervention. |
Strategy 2 The school will provide professional development to teachers in using the Math pacing guides to provide viable math offerings to extend and enrich students’ achievement. |
End of Year SMARTR Outcome - Reading |
By the end of the 2018-19 school year, all students who did not meet grade level benchmark in the fall will make a minimum of three levels of growth on the DRA2. |
Strategy 1 The school will use a structured identification process for all students at risk of failing or in need of targeted intervention to ensure timely intervention. |
Strategy 2 The school will provide professional development to teachers in using the Elementary Language Arts pacing guides to provide viable reading and writing offerings to extend and enrich students’ achievement. |
